CSI: Hunter (Forensic Biology)

Biol 150 4.5 credits

Prerequisite: Math 101
Will fulfill 4.5 credits of GER/2/E Lab Requirement

Course Description:
CSI: Hunter Biol 150 is an introductory laboratory course for non-biology majors. This lecture/laboratory course will cover the techniques used by forensic scientists to analyze a crime scene, and the biological concepts behind them.  Through the topics that are covered, students will learn how biological evidence like fingerprints, blood, and DNA are collected, analyzed, and presented as evidence to solve crimes. Former guest speakers include: Innocence Project, Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and current DNA forensic research.
 
Lecture  -    Monday and Thursday 8:10-9:25
Lab (Choose ONE 3 hr lab)  -   depends on section
